Introduction

Silo Studios is based in Thompson’s Station, Tennessee, a small rural community just 20 miles south of Nashville.

Artist and designer, Shawn South- Aswad, works out of her renovated silo– home where she is inspired by her husband and two sons… and the unconditional love of her dogs, Sherlock, Hoot, Tallulah, Billabong, and Finn, as well as the studio cat, Miss Peppermint Lily.. . .and let's not forget the array of foster dogs who call the studio home during times brief and lengthy in their quest for forever homes.

All art and furniture produced at Silo Studios are one-of-a-kind pieces and can never be replicated but similar styles may be special ordered.

The art is either created on canvas or recycled wood boards and painted with acrylics. All furniture pieces are constructed of architectural salvage. We do our best to recycle as much as possible, looking hard in the strangest of places for anything worthy of a second chance!

At Silo Studios its all about bringing a bit of whimsy into the lives and homes of those who dare to break out of the box. We encourage you to tour our portfolio, sneak a giggle or a gasp, and contact us when you are ready to add a Silo Studios original to your favorite spot.

But, bare in mind...when you make a purchase at Silo Studios, you aren't just getting an amazing custom piece, and you're not just saving one more bit of "trash" from finding it's way into a landfill. . .you are actually saving the life of a dog as well. Over 80% of Silo Studios profits go towards the rescue of homeless animals. Snootygiggles Dog Rescue is a small group (consisting of Shawn and "a few good friends") that takes in one dog at a time. The dogs chosen for rescue are truly the bottom of the barrel. . .the sick and the elderly that just need someone to give them a chance or even just the love to comfort them through the inevitable. It is why we do what we do.
